How to Use Responsive Adsense Ads for Mobile, iphone and other Browsers

Google ad sense is the best add network in the internet which have the highest pay per click policy than other affiliation companies. To know more about ad sense go to my post Get accepted by Ad-Sense . Getting Approval of Google ad-sense is not easy and takes a lot of time and work. Usually bloggers from India and China are only allowed to apply for ad sense after their domain age is 6 months old. So it is better to buy a domain which has an age of 6 years and more.

This will cost you more than the value of fresh domain. But this is better if you are an Indian blogger. I had posted about buying a domain in my post “Rethink before buying a new domain“. You can refer that post if you are going to buy a new domain.

Your site must have a great design and layout in order to get ad sense affiliation. If not after applying to ad sense, you will get a mail like this:

 “Thank you for your interest in Google Ad Sense. After reviewing your
application, our specialists have found that it does not meet our program
criteria. …. web content”.

Use different types of adds

There is an option to add horizontal, vertical and link units to your website. But i am saying try to use responsive ads. You can use in different sizes.

<script async src=”//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js”></script>
<!– ad name–>
<ins class=”adsbygoogle”
     style=”display:block”
     data-ad-client=””
     data-ad-slot=”32675326″
     data-ad-format=”auto“></ins>
<script>
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
</script>

You can change the code “auto” to “rectangular”, “horizontal” and “vertical” according to your site. Then the responsive ads will find the space itself and fit in the ad sense space automatically. You should every possible way to monetize your site.

Make appropriate space

So if you got affiliation from Google ad sense, the first thing you should do as a publisher is to make appropriate space to insert ad sense codes. So why making space for add codes is the most important?

This is because you are out there to make lots of money. So to make money out of ad sense, publishers should have a clear understanding of the lay out of the website/blog. They also should be aware of the designing and attractive corners of the site. You can get help from some websites which gives a basic outline of where you should add ad sense codes.

Responsive Formats Ad Sense For Optimisation

                        Ad sense is one of the top revenue ad models exist today. Increase in Cost per Click [CPC] revenue is what webmasters are looking for. You can increase your CPC ad sense revenue by changing the layout of responsive ad formats.

Responsive ad formats

Responsive ads are a good way to generate revenue. Responsive ads will show ads according to the device which users are using. If one is using Samsung Galaxy or Apple ipad, the ads will render according to the frame. Lets us look at the ad format of responsive ads.

<script async src=”//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js”></script>
<!– responsive –>
<ins class=”adsbygoogle”
     style=”display:block”
     data-ad-client=”ca-pub-“
     data-ad-slot=””
     data-ad-format=”auto”></ins>
<script>
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
</script>

The above is the code which you will get from the Ad sense website. Here you can see one code in bold: data-ad-format=”auto”. This means that the ads can appear in the following width and heights, Leaderboard, 336 x 280 Large Rectangle, 320 x 100 Large Mobile Banner, 300 x 600 Large Skyscraper, 300 x 250 Medium Rectangle.

Disadvantage of data-ad-format=”auto”

The main disadvantage of the data-ad-format=”auto”  is that the webmaster will not be able to identify what kind of ad format has given more CPC Revenue according to your site’s layout.
Eg: Users clicks at 336 x 280 Large Rectangle ads more than  Leaderboard. But as ad format changes every time, the more users will be getting Leaderboard than 336 x 280 Large Rectangle. Hence decrease in CPC revenue.

Solution to Increase Cost per Click [CPC] revenue

There are other responsive ad formats one can use specifically to decide what should be the shape of ads. This means that you try and experiment with which shape of the ad will be suitable for your site’s layout. The following codes can be used for altering the shapes. If you want to show horizontal ads only, change the data-ad-format=”auto” to data-ad-format=”horizontal”. This will show only responsive horizontal ads.
For horizontal ads – data-ad-format=”horizontal”

<script async src=”//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js”></script>
<!– responsive –>
<ins class=”adsbygoogle”
     style=”display:block”
     data-ad-client=”ca-pub-“
     data-ad-slot=””
     data-ad-format=”horizontal></ins>
<script>
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
</script>

For vertical ads – data-ad-format=”vertical”

<script async src=”//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js”></script>
<!– responsive –>
<ins class=”adsbygoogle”
     style=”display:block”
     data-ad-client=”ca-pub-“
     data-ad-slot=””
     data-ad-format=”vertical></ins>
<script>
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
</script>

For rectangular shaped ads which will render 120×600 or 160×600 rectangle – data-ad-format=”rectangle”

<script async src=”//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js”></script>
<!– responsive –>
<ins class=”adsbygoogle”
     style=”display:block”
     data-ad-client=”ca-pub-“
     data-ad-slot=””
     data-ad-format=”rectangle></ins>
<script>
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
</script>

Experiment with your ad layout and find out which layout gives you more CPC revenue.
