Human minds are very passionate about detective stories especially the children. There may be so many reasons for that. The foundation of crimes is sins. No one is out there who don’t do any sins. Even a good man also posses the seed of a sin hidden and waiting to germinate unnoticed. The first killer in the race of Humans was Kane, the son of Adam. The first detective was God, isn’t it?\

 Do you like Sherlock Holmes?

The first detective in the world of literature was Daniel. All such novels emphasize on the victory of good on the evil. The intelligent hero, the detective traps the criminal by outsmarting him by a variety of ways. Such heroes can be imaginary and also genuine.

The detective known as Sherlock Holmes was authentic as the author Sir. Conan Doyle. There were so many detective stories that were published in the 19th century like stories of Edgar Alan Po (America), Gaboriyo (France), Wilkie Collins (England).

In the Victorian era human life was altered by science and technology. The theories by Niche, Freud, Darwin and Marx had a striking impact on the world. The smile of the rich and the cry of the poor were heard at the same time. At that time Leo Tolstoy, Dostoevsky and Charles Dickens wrote amazing touching novels and stories. ‘Edwindrued’, the last novel of Dickens was a detective novel which was stopped by the death. We can consider the world famous ‘Karamazov brothers’ by Dostoevsky as a detective novel. The theme of the novel is focused on who killed the old Karamazov? And which brother did that? The ‘Monti Cristo’ by Alexander Dumas and the novel of Scott are also detective ones. Today we consider them as classics.

Doyle was a doctor but he couldn’t succeed in that job so he started to write novels for enjoyment. His first detective novel was ‘A Study in Scarlet’. In that novel Detective Holmes and Dr. Watson was met for the first time. The book had a remarkable boom in the market. Then after three years another novel was published ‘The Sign of Four’ which also had outstanding sale in many countries. After that Doyle didn’t look back to his past. May be he was an awful doctor but he was treating the curiosity of people by his renowned novels. Based on the adventures of Holmes, Doyle again wrote two novels and 56 stories.
